RAIN

public holiday today… THE chance to sleep in… too bad I woke up at 7.30am…
Couldn’t fall asleep again so I started looking for some stuff on the internet and came across this song by MercyMe.
At first I thought it’s one of those ‚Lord, give me this and that‘ songs… but then I realized that it’s rather the opposite… and then… hm… I was kind of convicted of this ‚Lord, I need you to make me happy, I want to feel peace and love!‘ So often I have this ‚give me‘ attitude towards God! Hm… I’m not sure… I guess it’s ok for us to be totally honest towards God and he does want to know what’s on our hearts and minds… and we can tell him what we long for! BUT on the other side… there’s this attitude (we could/should have) of ‚whatever gives you the glory – go ahead and do – even if this means ‚rain‘
