So… here I am! Still in San Ramon. Yesterday we bought our tickets to go back to Lima. It looks like we will be staying in Lima for a few days longer (that I expected). We need to get our (well… my) visa situation figured out. The thing is that the Lady who usually does this for our mission had an exident a couple of weeks back… now she agreed to meet with us… but we might have to do all the running around ourselves! We shall see!
I am really looking forward to a couple of big shopping trips. Buying all that stuff you need for setting up an appartement. Here in San Ramon, we have ordered our beds, a couple of shelfes and the cooooooooolest sideboard already. Wollo also will get a really funky shelf/sideboard (IKEA style). But it looks like we won t be getting our washing machine here (they only have those machines where you put the washing into the machine from on top… plus it only washes your stuff COLD… so… people (Germans) say it won t really get your laundry clean. So… we will spend a little more and get another type of machine. I am looking forward to buying those kitchen things 🙂 Hope Wollo lets me spend a LOT 🙂 Naaaaa…
Okidoki… I hope the roads are clear… we heard that there might be some streets blocked… so… it you read this before 10pm (Per. time)… please feel free to pray for us!

Wow, that's beautiful! I remember when we moved to Singapore, we lived in a part of the island where westerners didn't normally go. Everyone stared at us, too! I think I got used to it though, I only remember being bothered for the first month or two maybe? Soon you'll be able to chat with all these people who are staring and they'll get to know you and it won't be so bad! I hope! (: These first months are definitely hard, SO much to learn and adjust to!!! Will pray for your trip, the visa, and that you'll feel at home there soon! Oh, and have fun buying stuff! (=
