singles at the supermarket

I used my wee lunch break (which I actually don’t have) to stock up my Gummibärchen (and apples, bananas…) supply…

Don’t know what it is… but these days I could live on that stuff! Gimme something sweet and you won’t see it again!

Aaaaaanyways… right in front of me, at the cash desk was this guy… around my age – maybe a little older… by just looking at the stuff he bought I KNEW that he was either single or his wife had gone on a sunny vacation far far away (without him of course) – he actually didn’t wear any ring (hm… my colleague just said that her brother in law has been married for almost 50 years and doesn’t wear his wedding ring either – so… this ring thing is no indication then!).

Anyways, I assume that he’s single!

I must admit that I really got jealous and pretty much interested by looking at his items.

Let me see… he bought tons of ‘just put it in the microwave’ kinda meals, along with some yummi walnut icecream, chewy American cookies, chocolate and hm… tin soup and nope… no veggies, no fruits; neither did he buy any healthy bread (did I mention that I bought some dark bread as well and low fat milk??? Good girl!)

I got jealous, not so much because he’s single  rather because he bought all that YUMMI food I would WANT to buy if it was up to me (and not up to my scales!)!

Oh man… will this ever stop? Nope, don’t think so!

Anyways… my colleague said I should post my little ‘supermarket observation’ on my blog… so… here we go!
