And again… it’s way past curfew… woooops hold on!
Wrong!
No more ship… so no more curfew!
Well, it’s late… past midnight… and I’m flipping tired!
Hey, I think my english get’s better… more fluent!
Yeah!
Ok, Ken Ken has arrived and Jay’s happy. Well happy isn’t exactly the right word 🙂
Ok, but I wanted to tell you about today!
TODAY: Jay and I (btw Jaylene’s dad is actually called Jay… so maybe I shouldn’t call Jaylene Jay anymore… cause…) planed to go out this morning – you remember – for coffee and stuff… Anyways it got kinda late, but we still went!
Oh, yesterday, when we were at the Amish and afterwards at this other cute town I fell in love – big time!
I fell in love with a really cute white desk! In german we would rather call it Sekretaer though. It’s simply beautiful. Probably 50/60 years old and just perfect. Anyways I didn’t really think about buying it, cause how should I get it all the way over to germany.
But then Jay and her parents (woops, I mean Jaylene) thought I should still check it out. So we’ve been trying to find out different ways of me taking it with me. But from what it looks like right now… don’t think it’s going to happen. So… there we go – another sad, one sided love story ends right here!
Hm…
ok… so we had coffee and met this amazing lady from Jaylene’s church. It seemed like half her church goes to this Coffee Place. Anyways… she’s like 90 and enjoys talking… so she told us about her german background (to be honest it seems like the states are PACKED with germans or at least people who would so much like to find out about their roots… all the time there are people telling me about their german names and wanna know what their names mean – last night I met a girl called „Niederhaus“ – so I call her ‚lowhouse‘ from now on – wonder though if I’ll ever see her again 🙂 – ok, back to that lady. She just fascinated me… cause she seems to be so full of life. I mean… hello… she’s 90. But she writes books, does voluntary work and all that… AND she wore the cutest skirt EVER; with cows on it. And one of the cows even looked like a cow they once had!
Sweet!

It’s also Himmelfahrt today. Can’t spell the english name. Hm… read in Hebrews 4 today! Wow… so tough… Mr Hebrew writer starts off with that we will find rest when we are in heaven, just like God rested after creating the world… BUT we should also do everything so we’d actually enter that place of rest.
Listen to this:
‚For the word of God is full of living power. It is sharper than the sharpest knife, cutting deep into our innermost thoughts and desires. It exposes us for what we really are. Nothing in all creation can hide from him. Everything is naked and exposed before his eyes. This is the God to whom we must explain all that we have done.‘
WOW!!!
And then it continues (and I’m soooooooo glad it does) by Mr. Hebrew writer talking about Christ, the high priest.
‚That is why we have a great High Priest who has gone to heaven, Jesus the Son of God. Let us cling to him and never stop trusting him.‘

Hm… this is tough stuff, real dark bread!
It just reminded me again of who God really is… that he’s not someone I wanna mess with. Yes, there is grace… but at the same time… I do sometimes rely too much on grace. There’s stuff I know I shouldn’t do… but still I head slowly in this direction. This was really like a STOP sign to me. Like my dad telling me with all authority ‚Nope, this isn’t the way to go!‘
I’m not sure if you’re able to follow my weird thoughts anyways!
I’m just so glad God’s there and that he really knows me and knows what’s good and even what’s better.

I often have to think of this song ‚ He knows better that I, he knows the way. I’ve let go the need to know why – for he knows it better than I!‘ Still learning though!

So… enough for now!
I wanna be an old lady wearing a cow dress one day!
Good night – sleep tight….
