I knew it for at least 364 days. Knew that it would have to happen again!<br \/>And then\u2026 bum\u2026 bang\u2026 it\u2019s the 31st! The last day of the year\u2026 which means in just a few hours time a new year will start \u2013 again!<br \/>And there\u2019s always this\u2026 hm\u2026 what should I call it\u2026 feeling of expectancy!<br \/>This feeling that something good, something new is going to happen. But also that I should be prepared for it! Ready to move forward with some great (and of course achievable \u2013 I\u2019ve learned something on Doulos J) goals!<br \/>And again I have failed!<br \/>Tick tock\u2026 tick tock\u2026 &#8211; Too late!<br \/>Not the 31st any more\u2026 a new day\u2019s dawning!<br \/>Ok\u2026 so\u2026 everybody around me is busy anyway\u2026 people enjoying the champagne, great fellowship, hugs and blessings from every side\u2026<br \/>I walk around, look at the fireworks, try to phone my family! No chance\u2026 the \u2018net work\u2019 can\u2019t handle this new years eve stuff either! I start to miss Doulos! Miss my friends\u2026 people who know me and still like me\u2026 people I\u2019m close to\u2026 Oh well!<br \/>I finally decide to go to my room. No one\u2019s there\u2026 the others are still gone\u2026 dancing, hanging out in the lounge\u2026 eating more food\u2026<br \/>And I just feel like\u2026 communicating\u2026 my fingers are itching!<br \/>I just have to sit down! Have to open up my diary and \u2018talk\u2019 to God!<br \/>Looking back at the year that has just past I see that 2005 was full of amazing things\u2026 tons of great stuff, blessings, answers to prayer but also tears, frustrations, hurt and hurting others, things happened I can\u2019t understand\u2026 but\u2026 somehow\u2026 peace!<br \/>And slowly I start to look forward to the new year!<br \/>Somewhere in the main meeting room I found my verse (glued on to one of the loud speakers). \u2018I will bless you, Heike and I\u2019ll make you a blessing to others\u2019 Gen. 12, 2<br \/>Hm\u2026 well\u2026 ooooooook\u2026 cool\u2026 I\u2019ll be blessed! I like that! But\u2026 I\u2019ll be a blessing to others\u2026 oh\u2026 high expectations! Not sure if I\u2019m enough\u2026 If I can rise to this challange! But well\u2026 God will do it! Will have to do it\u2026<br \/>We shall see!<br \/>Katrin is back\u2026 She looks at me like \u2018Mad girl, everybody is out there celebrating\u2026 what are you doing in here???\u2019. Try to explain that I just neeeeeeeeed to write\u2026 think she understands! She walks out again and is back 5 minutes later!<br \/>I ask her how she is doing\u2026 hm\u2026 think she\u2019s not too excited about all this fuzz out there either!<br \/>So we start to talk\u2026<br \/>She\u2019s been to Australia with \u2018youth for Christ\u2019 (I think)\u2026 we talk about Doulos life and her experiences outside of Germany\u2026<br \/>WOW.. it\u2019s 2am! No way!!!
